So... the exams just ended ... the internet is down ... Life Sucks huh ? No! Not when ... you have 3 new awesome games to play!

Say hello to the greatest comic book game in the history of video gaming. I intended to buy this early on, but then PS3 announced that they had a bonus gameplay for PS3 players so I really kinda shunned away from this game for fear of comparisons. However, it got 9.3 stars upon 10 in IGN the week it came out , so thats when I really decided that I HAD to get this game.

And I have to say, it really does live up to its name. The game starts in the Batmobile with the Caped Crusader personally driving the Joker back the Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane. Basically, Arkham Asylum is where they send all the unstable Batman villians in DC comics. e.g. Joker , Scarecrow... In a (not so) surprising turn of events, the Joker escapes and releases all the inmates of Arkham Asylum free , leaving the Dark Knight to clean up his mess. From there, you're off on an adventure that ranks right below The Dark Knight movie in terms of awesome Batman experiences.

In terms of gameplay its just really enjoyable. Personally, my favourite aspect was the hand-to-hand beat them up combat. Really really slick moves. and the way the controller vibrates in your hands it just feels like you are really kicking the living shit out of these guys! You kinda feel "empowered" as you strike, reverse and takedown your enemies, unleashing Bruce Wayne's fury onto the world.

Another part of gameplay is the " Stealth " sections. This is where you get the drop on a roomful of bad guys who are patrolling. These sections are cool because they forced me to play like Batman and not some random action game character.

I'd shoot up to a gargoyle, kick on detective mode to see how many enemies I was up against, and then start picking them off one by one. If there was just one dude with a gun in the group, I'd glide in to take him out and then move to the other baddies. If there was more than one gunman, I'd stick to the shadows so as not to get my brains blown against the wall.

There's a lot of freedom on how you want to engage these bad guys, and it's one of the best parts of the game. You could wait for a guy to be alone and then glide kick in and perform a ground takedown, but you've got access to Batman's entire utility belt if you want. Once everything's unlocked, you can use explosive gel to blow out walls and knock guys out, you can through Sonic Batarangs that'll then explode, you can pull people over railings with the grappling hook, and you smash through windows to take guys out.

Voice acting is superb. Did you know that the guy that voices the Joker is Mark Hamill? YES , THE LUKE SKYWALKER! Saw him doing it on Youtube and its just really amazing. The laughter and all. Arleen Sorkin sounds terrific as the Harley Quinn. Everything is just spot-on and the soundtrack really reinforces the dark setting of Arkham Asylum.

Graphics look really great. This is what Batman's world feels like. It's dark and gritty. You'll feel Batman's frustration and the terror of hostages. The game also looks great in motion. Batman's damage detail by the end of the game is a nice touch.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is the greatest comic book videogame of all time. This is a Dark Knight story that is well-told, packs some truly fun gameplay elements, has topnotch voice talent, and feels like it's part of Batman canon. Aside from Deadpool, Batman has become my favorite comic book character. :)

Thats right, Happy (very ) Belated Birthday to myself. and thank you very much to all those who wished me ... happy birthday. Birthday celebration was really just a gathering of relatives ... playing some old-school Halo with cousins. Decimation of cousins.

( ROFL ... this guy named " Fuck you " just signed in on MSN. Really sweet huh? Its like your Windows Live Messenger is pointing the middle finger at you. )

Anyway... I got a Calvin Klein wallet from my uncle and family, which was one of my favourites. My mum got me an Adidas bag. My sister got me this chest workout thingy, (you bend it here and there). My dad bought a SW Xbox360 Game. and I really like it all. So its an enjoyable birthday for Nic this year. :)



That's a photo of the birthday cards my little cousins drew for me. Apparently they stayed up till midnight crayon-ing these cards for me. A4 size paper crayon-ed fully on both sides. I was just really touched :)

Relax ( Relax ) , Take It Easy

Hey, Just felt like relaxing today after (a few) days of hardcore mugging. And the English and Geography exams passed pretty well. Unless in English, "well" means "oh-crap-I-forgot-one-paragraph!" But Geography was indeed decent.

Anyone did Q1 and 3 ? And only knew 5 of the points for the Q1 Level Descriptor? Anyone ?

Some really intense basketball from 1pm to 5pm after that. Nah, it was really kinda relaxed. Just practiced for some 57-pointers here and there. Couple of lousy matches. Went home had early dinner and took a nap slept till 10am this morning.

Then when I had nothing else left to do, I had this wonderful idea of looking up my old blog on Multiply. Kinda like reading an old diary. Except with a background of "Smiling Pasta" , the brilliant Taiwan drama from 2006. Yes, I was once into Taiwan and Korean dramas.

Apparently I used to be addicted to the computer! Yeah, and I would hate my parents from time to time for scolding me. A lot of it details my journey and development as a buddy sci-fi geek e.g. reading sci-fi novels, watching re-runs of Star War... watching more re-runs of Star Wars.

Side note: I had the horrible-lest English back then. Its so ridiculous that I had a post called " Please Cum in maii house! " It kept referring to some guy called "mie".

Yet, at the same time, I realized that I was very happy. I kept saying that I would laugh until I cried. Particularly during Sec 1. When I was still playing catching with Justin, Xiu Ming, Shing Yi and Zhi Xiang. And we were laughing all the time in NCC. And I was still passing my Chinese. Truthfully, I'm hardly ever this happy nowadays. I can't even remember of the last time that I " laughed until I cry man" . I'm not sure whether its the stress or the hormones but somehow I wish that I could have stayed in that period of happiness for a little longer. Just a little longer.

5 things I hate about Season 3 of Singapore Idol

1)Farhan " Pretty Boy" Shah is very unfortunately still in the competition. The guy can't sing. Seriously. I can drink a bowl of alphabets, fart out a string of words and it will still sound better than him. dear lord he attempted a falsetto and whatever that is that came out sounded like one of those cats being raped or something. Hahaha , its kinda like me and jerome singing "creep". Together.

2)The people who vote and support him. I have this very strong dislike for people ( particularly adolescent girls ) who just vote blindly for these kind of contestants. People like farhan feed off these young girls' obsessions with their idols. They have absolutely NO sense of talent and somehow derive gratification from voting for their guy even though they know that he can't sing for shit. And think about the amount of money they must waste on him. They could pay their parent's medical bills after hearing him sing with that money.

3)Instead of the Pretty Boy being eliminated, one of my favourites Syltra Lee was out. That really really pissed me off. I thought she was so impressive at the Piano Show! 4)Fathin Amira. I think she's like a female version of Frodo Baggins. If Frodo ever participated in Hobbit Idol.

5) There are no " Rock " contestants. A lot of pop and jazz ... but ... NO ROCK. I remember Season 1 had sylvester. and Season 2 had Jonathan and Paul Twohill. And season 3 has ...
So. fingers crossed in hoping to hear someone sing "Sweet Child Of Mine".

That said, I really do appreciate the rest of the contestants. I think Charles Wong rocks with his rendition of Flo Rida's "Low". Sylvia Ratonel is really hot. So is Tabitha Nauser. I think Faizal has got really cool moves and the voice to boot. More importantly he chooses the right songs because both songs he sang are 2 of my favourite songs. I really enjoyed Duane Ho's Pokerface rendition, even better than the original I would say. He makes me like Lady Gaga.

The Moment of Truth

I just wanted to say how much I enjoy Singapore Idol and how it plays with people's feelings so well. I remember how one of the girls thought she was gonna be accepted into the final 12 and she had this big grin on her face. Then Gurmit asks one of the lousy contestants to stand up next to her and all of a sudden her face is so damn grim. LOL. that was classic.

There seems to be quite a lot of homework this holiday. Comparable to the June Holidays. But at least we had 4 times the amount of time to complete them and half the number of holiday lessons and tuition. In fact I still have my Social Studies/Geography Practice Paper/Higher Chinese/Physics and Chem left to complete. Basically 1/2 of the total homework. I'm really starting to hate this thing called Stress and Pressure.

and NO ONE can own me in Halo. I repeat . NO ONE . so don't bother tagging about the contrary because I've recently activated a application on my tagbaord. Its called ... Nicholas-is-the-Master-Cheif-without-his-helmet app.

So this is what a dream feels like

I feel so Synester-esque today. My guitar teacher taught us the guitar solo to Hysteria ... which was an interesting experience. There was a girl in the class who broke down. It went something like this ,

Guitar Teacher : " Hey you okay ? "

Ms I-look-like-I-slash-myself-constantly : " Its soo hard ! ... "

and I was beside her (XingZaiLeHuo)-ing because I nearly perfected it. Hell, the fact that I just used a Chinese proverb is a real testament to how proud I am of myself today.

In other news, I feel like I'm procrastinating more and more. Not to the extent that my L1R5 will drop to like 44. In fact I got one quarter of that. But in the sense that when I tell myself to finish my D23, I'm actually off annihilating the human race in GTA 4. With the holidays approaching I do not know what to expect. But I'm pretty assured that I won't die very horribly. Like a terrified Jie Kang in Halo 3.

Thankfully, they don't call me the Discipline Head for nothing. A small excerpt from my experiences as a Discipline Head.

hear the new song on the blog? Thats Hysteria by Muse. And I'm halfway to learning it ;) My electric guitar teacher thinks we're advacned enough to play this amazingly awesome piece of music. I'm really starting to like Muse actually. They were also the culprits responsible for SuperMassive Black Hole, the song that played during the Twilight Baseball scene. So all you Edward/(whatsherfrigginname) bitches should pretty well know.

I really feel like being videogame geeky today so thats what I shall do. First off lets start with Halo: ODST the highly awaited Halo3 standalone game.

Basically, ODST, initially named Recon, takes place just after Halo 2 where Master Cheif -117 raids New Mombasa City. After he leaves, the ODSTs (Orbital Drop Shock Troopers) are employed to clear up his mess. Little do they know that the Covenant had decided to send reinforcements and without the Cheif, how were they gonna survive endless hoards of alien juggernauts? Fight la! So basically this is the story of the untold heroes behind the scenes, the ODSTs.

Teamwork and cooperation is really the key to this standalone game. being ODSTs, after all they are still human. I like to think that the ODSTs would be the SWAT equivalant to HALO. and definitely teamwork is essential to a SWAT team or they all die a horrible, horrible ... horrible death.

As quoted by Legendary-acheiver Shao Xuan: " So cool sia, 4-player Co-op ".

By the way thats us at the Singapore Toys Game and Comics Con with Master Cheif! One of the high points of the day. Standing next to a Spartan.

Thats right, a new member of the Halo Family, ODST brings in a new mode called Firefight, which is the Halo answer to Gears of Wars' Horde. Firefight allows 4 players to team up as ODST and as God would have it, the team faces wave after wave of enemy Covenant. so the point to this new mode is to finish as many waves as you can within a limit of 7 lives. Shared by the entire team.

Sounds too difficult ? additionally, after every 5 waves , a Skull will be unlocked. Not in a good way like " Oh I've just unlocked new hairstyles for my Bratz character " or " Cool, I've just unlocked my hidden potential in DotA ". When you unlock a skull, Covenant do very bad things to you. For example, one skull called Catch, causes enemy Covenant to throw more grenades then they usually would. Pfft, "more" is a fucking understatement. another one called Tough Luck, increases the enemy's evasion. So ... Tough Luck !

I'm soooooo impressed by this game. It would be a SIN in my book not to buy this game. I expect it to cause as much as a single Halo Xbox 360 game, but it's worth it. really. I can imagine 4 of us sitting together and kicking Covenant backside ... and not just kicking. More like damaging thier arseholes so badly they can never again take a shit in their life. That ... people ... is something I would really enjoy.

So thats my take on Halo 3 ODST.

So I decided to blog ... waiting for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to install in my BRAND NEW computer. By the way, did I mention that ? That my old motherboard was corrupted and that my uncle brought me to Sim Lim Square to buy parts for a NEW computer WHICH .. I personally assembled myself under the guidance of my uncle ? ... I doubt so :)

So therefore, with the single purpose of showing off ... here are some of the new features of my new computer ( as much as I can recall ). Intel DDR Core-2-Duo Processor. GeForce 9600 Series Graphics Card. Wireless MicrosoftKeyboard and Gaming Mouse. LG 19 inch LCD Display Screen. In other words, my computer looks friggin awesome.

Oh and theres the added bonus of learning how to assemble a computer. ( Its pretty simple actually ) My uncle hopes for me to join the technological sector when I grow up ... I'm still considering though. My real passion lies in science fiction , video games ...

"Yo, Joe ! "

G.I Joe is just AWESOME. truly truly awesome. I can't seem to think of the last movie that was as purely awesome as G.I.Joe. and to quote the movie, " Evil never looked so good". Baroness aka Sienna Miller is beautiful. Even more so than Megan Fox. ( Complain on my tagboard tyvm ) I would say that Megan Fox is hot but Sienna Miller is beautiful. See the difference. Anyways, I think her spectacles attract me or something. Baroness, the Bespectacled Badass Cobra Hottie.

Lol I just have so much to say. I never knew much about the franchise initially just that it was some kind of fanbase itself. Kinda like Star Wars. the toys and comics and all. and Definitely there was a sense of fanboy-ism throughout the movie.

On the topic of Snake-eyes, the ninja assasin clad in black. The actor who portrayed him, Ray Park, was the same actor who portrayed Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode 1, who is my one and only all-time favourite Star Wars character. Coincidentally, he seems to portray silent, powerful badasses in all my favourite movies. I literally cheered in his first apperance. Then followed on to imitate him after the movie, much to the annoyance of other people in the cinema.

I enjoyed the other characters as well though. My favourite scenese were definitely ...

I give this movie 4/5 stars. 1 for Baroness. 1 for Snake-eyes. 1 for the non-stop action and 1 for the interesting conflicts and back stories. Especially the Snake-eyes vs Storm Shadow Conflict. Definitely a movie worth watching, If you're deciding between Up and GI.Joe, choose the one with the hot bespectacled chick. :D

Lol once again, another inspiring quote from our ever-vigilant CSM. Just felt like blogging for the week now.

This week was literally pumped up with NCC. Like a whole serum of NCC was injected into Time the Entity itself. and it mutated to create a destructive force capable of annihilating my homework time.

Flag-bearer training was an important part of this week certainly. Case you don't know, once again Nicholas the Discipline head has been chosen to represent NCC in yet ANOTHER prestigious parade. and YES this time Swine flu is not involved. all facts aside, Jerome and I are NCC representatives for this year's NDP school parade. May not be very prestigious to you but it certainly is to me at least. So watch out for the NCC flag on Friday guys. More importantly, check out the guy bearing it.

On tuesday I accompanied the Part B Platoon Seargent Ryan to the Sec 1 trainfire course. I gotta say, its the most I've bonded with the Part As since the beggining of the year. It started out as Seargent, and ended with Seargent Nicholas . Another thing I gotta say is that some of the Sec 1s have a Shit-Load of Attitude. Hopefully under my care, they will change. Then again I felt accomplished getting the rest of them to behave ... disciplinededly. lol. Once again Nicholas the Discipline head to the rescue.
PS. Checking out Ryan scolding them. Its like many dangerous threats I would say. Cool lol.

Academically, there was this incident on wednesday if I'm not wrong. lol Humiliated Myself man. Ms Mok asked me to remove the drop of NaOH left in the pipette and then I couldn't rememeber anything. Blank. Like Omar's SS Notes. Wah, it was truly a hell load of scolding man. If that wasn't worse enough she went around joking about it . You can literally imagine the embaressment lol. But I'm always one to bounce back from adversity. I'll just take it as another "learning it the Ms-Mok-Will-Literally-Murder-Me way" experience.

I really don't think I should post much, I have to get up at 530 to have the NDP Parade Dry run. More like the I-enjoy-making-people-wake-up-early-and-deprive-them-of-sleep Run. It "really sucks to the core man" as someone would say.

I pretty much enjoyed today generally. Most lessons today were enjoyable. Then again, thinking about the prospect of at least 4 or 5 common test within monday to wednesday next week, keeps bothering me. "My god!" They have to realize we are humans. Humans who require their Xbox time over the weekend. Humans who can , essentially , break down and die from the stress.

Napfa 5 items was a key thing today. Tiring, but enjoyable times. Just an overview ,

Inclined Pull-Ups : 46 ( you biased losers lol )
Sit-Ups : 75. As you can see , its not much of a difference from the past year.
Sit-And-Reach: 40 ( I'm pure NCC not Chinese Dance )
Standing Broad Jump : 220 cm
Shuttle run : 9.8 seconds.

Of course , I wanted to do real pull ups. Forunately or unfortunately, I'm younger than all of you ;). and ONCE AGAIN, I single-handedly sweep away the entire level with my outstanding sit-up capabilities. Don't claim that I cheated for there were at least 2 people who witnessed my superhuman feat. I wouldn't say that the rest are something that I'm really proud of , but I did surprise myself with such an improvement. From 10+ seconds to 9.8 . From 190+cm to 220cm. From 36cm to 40cm. Certainly it has been a year of improvements.

Taking a look at Pooven the Indian Case Study, past 2 years he has been getting bronze even though his birthday hasn't passed. But this year, according to him its AACCC and a fail for standing broad jump. Which was due to severe " peer pressure " apparently, literally the entire ISH was chanting " Pooven ... Masturbate ... Pooven ... Masturbate " . I imagine it must have been quite difficult , not to mention embarassing.

Came home at 7pm and immediately started on creating the NCC blog. Of which I'm charge of. I spent a torturous 3 hours looking for appropriate templates, configuring certain format-related aspects, changed a few quotes here and there , and uploading my own pictures in an effort to add a truly unqiue touch to the Anderson NCC blog. Discipline and Determinance

eventful day ! started the day pretty lethargic , probably from my intense workout the day before ;) ... Maths was the typical , pretty surprised i didnt fall asleep. I think i'm starting to feel the effects of a healthy lifestyle. Anyway, we didnt have a proper chinese lesson. Because Mrs Cheong had a back injury, which sounded unbelievably unfortunate initally. But she's a great tr and I sincerely hope she recovers soon.

2.4 run was a inspiring experience. My timing was arnd 13.00 to 14.00 according to Omar. and ... there goes my gold ... once again. But I thought it was even nicer that I didnt really stop at all throughout the run. Resilience ;) .

For 3 years 2.4 has robbed me of Napfa results and its not that I'm unfit , just that I really really hate running. I find it mentally torturous rather than physically demanding. Why run when you can do more rewarding and less taxing exercises like training your frontal muscles and upper body ? Runners only get toned calves and perharps good stamina. And you lose alot, alot of body weight. Which of course is beneficial for flabby Indians. but isn't what I'm aiming for.

Anyway thats my stand. Then again, I will still pwn at 5 items. 75 situps people. 75.

Also I think I should commend Pooven for finally prevailing lol. for the past 2 years the poor Indian has been physically compromised. Today he showed the world when he finished in 4th in class. shows that no matter how compromised or unfortunate you are, you CAN succeed. We should do like a case study on unfortunate Indians and their rate of success.

Returned to school for NCC. Was assigned by Mr Eu to set up the official NCC blog! ( because I'm "technologically savvy" according to people ) what an honour. I also experienced my second most memorable moment as a Discipline Head. Won't go into details cept that I really pushed this guy to his limits because I felt he showed no sense of resilience nor discipline. I would say that it was more like the forging of mental strength. You don't shit around with Nic and his morals. I did feel disturbingly proud of myself afterwards.

"Walao you are like worst than Amol lah . " - Xiu Ming. Worst in the sense of being fiercer of course.

Just wanted to assure Omaar Khalid that his post is coming. Just that my PCU is fried and I can't access his photos so I have to use my dad's notebook in the meantime. And also that his starwars related present is on the way.

Just exercised and I'm feeling great again. I can finally see my top four abdominals agian. Now they have new friends the Obliques! I seem to find obliques cooler than your typical abs. Cause every guy who works out alot has your mundane abs. but most don't focus on the sides so THEY don't get obliques like mine. You should definitely listen more to Pooven and his muscle theory.

Who needs drugs ? I'm telling you, you can get ecstacy just by playing Guitar Hero! With your shirt off. Pure fun I say. For the last two hours I spent my time rocking to Blink 182 , Ozzy Osbourne and Jon Bon Jovi. Yeah can't you just imagine. A 'tarded dude in his pants playing " Living on a prayer " . But who gives a shit when its fun beyond your imagination !!!

Of course there's the downside as well. My vision is blurry ... and my hand has morphed into a claw, like it was born to play guitar. Its probably gonna stay that way for the next couple hours.

Soo ... I flunked my chinese oral . LOL . what did you expect huh. "The examiners were really impressed with my command of the Chinese language. " Topic was about polytechnic students and their attire. I think I got the points spot on but my format was definitely bad and I stuttered as though the was a friggin vibrator in each on my teeth. Though on my way out I swore I heard them say : " Not bad " . It was either a very mean joke to make or they noticed my six-pack abs from my workout the day before. :D ( we were talking about having a extra points for charm )

In recent news, I started exercising again :D. And I'm feeling great. Initially, I had muscle sores from the first exercises. Then the next day I could barely stretch my arm out . Contemplated going to the doctor but Yahoo says that these are typical if you haven't exercised for a long time and I should even exercise more. and exercise more I did. Now, I feel more refreshed and bulkier. Of course, I still have to get that rust off my weights.

Also , I had to return my No.1 uniform to HQ on friday. ( I know you're there Tan Kuan Ting ) It was a pretty depressing day. Kinda like the day your barbie doll got beheaded, or your maple character got hacked or something.

But then again Jerome and Xiu Ming came over after that for some Fanboys and WWE. I have watched the damned movie for 4 times and it never gets old. It epitomizes what a true fanboy stands for and I can definitely relate to the 4 geeks in the movie. Kinda like me omar xiu ming and jerome.

Hello!I'm gonna be specifically emo-ish this post. so ... just a warning.

You know when sometimes god just throws shit at you ... and then sometimes its a lot of shit. Maybe sometimes he uses a M16S1 Rifle? This week I feel I've been hit by a bazooka. LOL ... Keep it emo , keep it emo

Yeah things that happen this week have been particularly shittish. Week started out fine , got to sit behind kevin and adriel and friends due to new seating. Talked with the Poo about T2 and Megan Fox, and about rumours that shes ... *gulp* ... a man. Which is not making things any easier ! * We've come to an agreement that its all a very very big lie. and Dont you be stupid and write something on my tagboard. Like , "But she's really a man !" >:O

Hmm, oh and there was the near-fainting. That was wednesday which was also NCC Day! An unbelievably uneventful NCC day. so much that I have absolutely nothing to post about it. Seriously. Nothing.

Anyway had P.E that day, and then ran my 6 rounds then had some exercise. Seemed ok at first then started to feel faint at the end of everything. Like some kinda 'crap grenade exploded in my head. Then bad luck had to add gastric pain to the mixture. and Taadaa ! You get me lying half-conscious feeling like a total loser . I'm probably not gonna justify my pain like some guy trying to show he's tough. "Omg De Pain could have killed me, I almost had a stroke bla bla bla " But I was feeling terrible.

Just to quote, Kevin Jie Kang Adriel etc. were very supportive. Kept insisting that they carry me back to class. But I have to thank them if not I really would have fainted right there. So yeah that was a pretty shitty day.

The next day, Jasmine JiaYi and friends were talking (I think). Then Mrs Chong had to seperate them. Kicked out Pooven beside me and placed Jasmine there. ROFL . Rmb its a Emo post! Yeah I mean its not terrible , just that I probably won't have someone to talk to alot in the future. unless I find a new interest in Maplestory (Left side) or ... bangs ??? ( Right side )

and to culminate it all Lady Luck had to give me one last slapintheface. Remember NCC Day Parade ? About how I was suppose to represent Anderson NCC '09 in the most prestigious annual parade in my No.1 uniform ? Yeah all thats been screwed. ( Tan Kuan Ting and Damian Chong laugh secretly behind their computers)

You guessed it , H1N1 strikes again. Fucking pigs. Doesnt give us holidays. Cancels my parade.

I was really really excited about doing the most awesome thing in my NCC life although I didnt really express it. Kinda like remember when you were like 5 and you were so excited about this upcoming birthday party, then ... the birthday girl like ... suddenly dies of Influenza ? Yea , the same feelings !

So as you can see , if you take the area under this post as one shit unit , my week was pretty much a gazillion values of crap. and Bless You for making this far in the post, most people would be playing Maplestory or DotA by now. ;)

I'm free ! From homework I mean. I just finished my Geography stack of Level Descriptors, girl-oriented school papers and the whole other load of crap. and to all those who had twice the amount of weeks I had for holidays and much less school activities, you can kiss my homework-free ass goodbye.

Still a little bummed about not getting the extra week though. Stupid Channel 8 reporter had to go rub it in. Translated : " Officials have confirmed that there will be NO extra holidays for students! Yes thats correct, NO holidays. " , the next morning on Chinese radio " So MOE has declared ... " If there were so many regulations might as well extend it for a few days, maybe about 2 or 3 ? ( I've heard that some MOE people do read student blogs)

so Transformers 2? Haven't caught it yet due to complications. Gonna watch with my family at Plaza Sing on Saturday. Where they have BIG SEATS. LOL. Critics say its bad. IGN gave it 2 stars. Couldn't get anything out of my friends other than "Megan Fox" *smiles* .

LOL , hell shes hot for sure. common topic in 3/5 backroom politics between me and pooven. Did you know she turned down the role of Wonder Women in a JLA movie? and if that wasnt worse enough she turned down Lara Croft, the Tomb Raider. Lara friggin Croft. You don't know whether to hate her or like her.

Many people seem say they grew up with the King of Pop, heck even Xiu Ming was ranting about how he changed music or something, but with all due respect, I kinda grew up thinking Micheal Jackson was kind of a pervert. Its Wednesday. The Third Day of the Third week of holidays. and the most homework filled. My first two weeks were screwed over by army men and the Malaysia Govt. apparently. I actually have half of my homework done. Gonna finish them by the end of the week. I'm a man with a plan.

I actually want to go out and catch a movie. Fill my social meter. Which is at 0% at the current moment.

Big hello world. so its been a long time! Last post was Pretty Long ago. Back in the "Loser" ages where I could not play Mass Effect. But Nic always gets the better and yes, Mass Effect is up and running again. It consisted of some persuasion and alot , ALOT of buffing. Before I start on how wonderful Mass Effect and kittens are, let me tell you about my past weeks. ( Btw I'm here in KL )

So most people posted about Spec Course. ( Specialist Camp for NCC ) I didnt think it was very nice. Contradictory to the common ...

Spec Camp : Jerks , Real life Girl-DogS and even SCGS Girls! Come waste 4 whole days of your life at Paya Lebar Camp today!

Fine not ALL was wasted. Learnt about NS and commandos and stuff. Got to go to this very cool Life Simulation Gunnery Range. Even to the Singapore Discovery Centre. First day was cool, I was confident of a 2nd SGT. But I screwed up on my Specialist Tests so, that shot me back quite a bit. But whats done is done, no point being moody over it. While those 2nd SGTs walk back to their houses, I'll be at home watching Season6 of CSI: Miami under AirConditioning. :D (Yes , I'm a very petty man.)



Then after Camp-Lousy we sadly had to make it back to school for the Girl Guides Campfire Performance. Whos wants to hear a secret ? The performance was a subtle screw-up in case anyone noticed. I'm guessing that would be no one, considering the massive crowds of people screaming to the point of ecstacy.

Basically we didnt catch the first portion of the song, couldnt hear a thing throught the barrier of ecstatic scouts. By some chance we managed to end at the point of a drill, but that got everyone screaming again so no one really noticed. Eventually we still clinched the " Best Performance " Award, so a deserving reward for all the practices. Besides there were no breakdancing scouts to contend with us.

I'm pretty shacked right now, so more after I return to Singapore. Sunday.

To a women so heartless

Hi. I'm just depressed and I'm here to rant. No its impossible to cry on your blog. So my damned Mass Effect disk was scratched ! Probably by the Xbox 360. I've read like 4.5 million forums posts on how to fix this. Including washing it with toothpaste , boiling it in hot water and apparently " using your fingernail to scratch away the scratches " . Smart huh ?

I was so into the game and this had to happen. I'm guessing the best thing to do would be to return to Funzcentre and pray that they will replace it. But THAT would be another big problem. Given that my good 18-year old friend bought it for me and he probably threw away the reciept. Oh noes. Does that mean in the mean time I have to play the game called DotA ???

Anw, let me return to being bummed out about Mass Effect T.T

Aha! Its my first human interaction since Friday Afternoon. Thats cause I've been sucked into the universe of Mass Effect. Or " The Attican Traverse " . For the past 48 hours . Apparently. I lose touch with reality when I play these kinda games. I still remember cutting off all human contact during the Oblivion period for about a week. Ahh. Good Times. I guess I shouldn't say too much of the game other than the fact that its pretty awesome. The geekiness will kill you. and you might die.

Truthfully? I kinda disliked it for the first few hours. It was difficult as hell. Even for an experienced Halo player myself. Or absolute geek in layman terms. Sure as hell do not know how those kids in America play this. But it got easier past the first 10 hours. You gotta Hone your skills. Its a breeze now. and that coupled with the overdose of sci-fi and graphics makes it awesome.

Onto the real world. Apparently. Anw I'm blogging instead of playing now because I just practiced on my elec. guitar. I call it the Bend-Your-Strings-Until-Your-Finger-Bleeds-And-Develops-Blisters-Until-You-Cannot-Play-Xbox-And-Must-Blog-To-Past-Time guitar effect. Why I'm playing guitar at 4 in the morning? How would I know. Like it would affect the neighbours.

So. I caught " angels and demons " with Xiu Ming Jerome and Shing Yi people after Exams. Which by the way was so depressing. The after-exam period. Normally I would feel relieved mans. Don't really know whats going on. Maybe the stress has overwhelmed me and has consumed my consciousness. Sobs.

Anw. The show was pretty nice. Very interesting. You gotta have Jerome explain certain motivations in the movie bt its pretty good. Catch It. Like how the damn camerlengo caught fire at the end and burned. Oh noes its a spoiler .

Apparently I just noticed the time on the computer screen. Its 4.45 . Sleep Time. I shall post more on post-exam activities. More on MassEffect. Touch Rugby. NCC perharps? Oh and there's a 50% chance of LAN ...

Work Hard Play Harder

Yo. Blgging to past the time basically. So ... yesterday was Geography and Higher Chinese Paper one. Two I mean. Studied for the wrong damn thing the day before. But no fret, given my chinese capabilities I'm confident of passing this time. Though I didnt completely finish my summary of perfectness but STILL ...

Geography was definitely the worst of them all. I realised that ... I have a tendency ... to screw up any thing ... that I put hell lot of effort into? I mean , I missed One Episode of CSI and Criminal Minds , spent most of my weekend making those notes and yeah I totally F**ked up. I think its cause I think too much about it and panicked. Screwed up. So yea I wont be doing that no more. Relaxing. I'm glad if a score at least a B for Geog.

Today was much more better, SS and Chem. Basically just scanned through SS notes and remembered 2SDPPC only and guess what. It was a breeze with ... 10 minutes to spare. Hows that for relaxing.

Chem. ( I'm sooo gonna be flamed for this ) It was pretty easy. Surprised when people said it was very difficult. Even amMonia. Didnt bring calculator so I lost 2 marks for wrong calculations at the mass question. So I'm thinking SA1 = 68/70 . Lol. Fine lets be more humble . 67/70.

Btw I bought the Vintage Rock 2009 Album. I think its really nice. Old school songs are definitely way better than modern bands. The only one that I still feel has skill are Metallica, Megadeth and definitely A7X. Dragonforce can go f**k themselves. Lastly ... ( Don't Support Piracy ! ).

Hmm. So I'm taking a short break today. Hoping the damn tests would just fly past. 7 days left. Man after that I'm really gonna go on geek spree again. Getting my 18 year old Chinese Friend Mr Zheng to help me buy Mass Effect. oh plus Fable II DLC. But I'm telling myself for me to achieve that I gotta ace my exams. So Yea , Work hard Play harder. Deadpool Tribute

Lol guess what ? Its Marvel Time again.

This post is dedicated to one of my all-time favourite marvel anti-heroes (Next to The Punisher)

Yep Its DeadPool baby. Basically Wade Wilson/Deadpool was a member of the Weapon X Programme while Wilson previously served as a soldier under the wars till he contracted a terminal cancer. Refusing to die he volunteered himself for the Weapon X programme so that they could pump the healing factor ( from Wolverine's DNA ) into him. Though the healing factor did suppress the cancer cell, Wilson was thoroughly disfigured due to the unstableness of the DNA. It affected his brain and caused him to have several mental disorders including multiple personalities and a penchant for humour.

However, Wade did gain several mutant abilities. Most notable was of course "Super-Agility" and "Super-Strength". While not as powerful as Sabretooth or Wolverine, Wade was extraordinarily strong. Other abilities included proficiency with high-tech weapons and blades. This accounts for his two main weapons : Dual pistols and Dual Katana-Blades. He was also also a proficient martial-artist, comparable to Iron Fist.

When Wilson left the Weapon X Team ( Sabretooth/Wolverine/Maverick eg. ), he served as a mercenary with many criminal organizations. Thats where he adopted the name Deadpool. Of course what was most characteristic was his humour. He liked to break the 4th wall ( indicating he was a comic book character all the time) and had a boyish/perverted sense of humour.
And thus he was nicknamed , " The Merc with a Mouth " ;D

Here he is with the actor that portrays him in the movie, Ryan Reynolds. I thought that Reynolds did a good job in portraying Deadpool's humour and his ultimate bad-ass-ness. Man, I have to say the scene in the African Building redefines the meaning of " Sick Shit ". Too bad he got too little screen time. But hey there are rumours of a Deadpool spin-off due to the popularity of the character. Cool. So for the rest of the time I will be giving pics of DP in action and many of his bad-ass quotes. Enjoy .

X-Men Origins - Wolverine Review

Whats Up People?! actually the sky , BUT ...
Its time for a review by yours truly !!!

Basically I thought that X-Men origins : Wolverine was a pretty cool movie itself but what I really enjoyed were the cameos and references eg. Deadpool appearing . Quicksilver , Emma frost. The movie explains about how Wolverine came about , dated all the way when he way a child in the 1800s to WWI , WWII , and so on .

William Stryker forms a team of mutants namely Agent Zero, The Blob , Sabertooth , John Wraith ( Will.I.Am ), Wolverine himself and DEADPOOL. He goes around looking for the metal adamantanium and also for his own agenda to kill mutants , which is later explained in the movie. Wolverine quits the team because of their ways and lives in seclusion for a few years.

Later, through a scheme, Stryker persuades Logan to bond his skeleton with adamantanium, an indestructible metal compound. Thats actually the part in the trailer whereby Logan comes out of the metal tank of water and then tears apart the wires and gives that " I will fucking rip you in half " look. Cool huh ?

So on and so forth , Wolverine goes all out on a quest for revenge on Sabretooth. Where he meets people like Gambit on the way. Who by the way is completely awesome . But theres a scene that makes him look like a wuss . Made me pretty pissed cause Remy Lebleu is like one of the coolest mutants out there. Quiksilver and Toad make special appearances near the end of the movie if you can catch them. oh Pyro and Iceman too .

I would give the movie like 8/10 . 2 for Deadpool. 2 for Wolverine . 1 for references/cameos. 1 for story and 2 for action scenes. I personally really enjoyed the Deadpool scenes , however short they were. His action scene was worth the whole movie, and his quotes ? Priceless.

Lastly I would like to stress that Weapon XI is not Deadpool. Pretty pissed myself during the movie when I thought that the Deadpool got transformed into the ugly retard Weapon XI. But in truth it was purely a duplicate of his body. Supported by wikipedia.

I urge all fans or non-fans of X-men to catch this movie. It truly is cool and remember to watch out for your favourite mutants.

Lalala to sum up ... This week was entirely afternoon lessons filled.
On a good note! Found many interesting stuff across the week.

I was a lil scared of entering Blogger today. Realised that I downloaded some DEADLY VIRUSES WITH THE POWER TO KILL ALLLLLLLLL. Damn, shouldn't have watched too much por- ... portraits. Portraits .

I guess nothing really really important happened this week. Unless you count Ryan getting his hair cut = Olympic Games Ceremony. Also, No CCA this week , just Chemistry Tests. Though today since we had a lot of time, refurnished one half of the NCC room. Its pretty clean now I suppose. We wanna paint the room light green and hang Flags and achievements. But thats really gonna take much work. Maybe also carpeting of the floor. and a Air-Con if possible. :DD

Halo 3 on Legendary = Migraine Pain-in-the-ass . At least for me. But I cant let losers like Yang Shao Xuan who owns the Arbiter on Legendary look down on me. BRING ON THE FRIGGIN FLOOD YOU BAD-ASS PROPHET.

Lastly, I might be going into a SA1 intensive programme soon. Want to ace this exams so I can enjoy during June ( though highly unlikely ). So no more Halo, no more computer till the end of exams. 2009 , Year of Nic !!!

Lets start with this Wednesday , which was the actual ROD day itself. ...

And so it went. Berets all thrown in the air. Seniors Singing their last Bersurai . Emotional moments. Of Course that means the iniation of the new specialist , us !!

Buffet , followed by serial raping , taking of photos. And as promised by our responsible CSM , we will strive to bring back the Gold Unit in Anderson NCC , and I will do to the best of my ability to ensure that Anderson Cadets possess the discipline to make it . ;) Special thanks to our PnP head for making or the arrangements for a successful ROD Buffet .

Went home and watched the 2009 WWE Draft from 10 to 1.30. What really depressed me was of course , Miz got drafted to Raw. yes, ALONE . That Spells the end of Miz and Morrison , the Dirt sheet , and the greatest tag team worth watching on WWE. Jerome and I gotta find a new tag team worth imitating, which is basically NO ONE.

Part A Platoon Seagent - Chin. LOL ! Ultimate Underdog ... Zhuo Sheng ! Caught me by surprise mans , but to hell , I have my doubts but I belive the specialists had a reason for assigning Zhuo Sheng to be Part A PS , and I hope they did make the rightchoice. Chin DOES have quite a high standard.

PDS head / Discpline Assistant - Jerome Lim. My tag team partner , John " Jit How " Morrison. I kinda know he's a little emo about it. To me it seems like the Syazhwan case all over again. I hope that he can be a good PDS head , and whats more as my assistant we got more time to be Tag Team partners :)

Discpline Head - I think the specialist, they made a very good choice choosing him to be the Discipline Head. But he will strive to ensure discipline in NCC even if the cadets hate him , make sure that everyone does their job, make sure that the specialist don't abuse their power not to mention ensure that cadets have the right attitude. Discipline head of 09' , yours truly.

PnP Head - DH Omar Khalid . PnP means Project and Planning. Lol he was a little emo-ish on the ROD rehearsal that he was not in the top 7. Truthfully , I wouldnt mind letting him be No.7. Cus its the post thats whats important to me. Hopes that he undersands and thankfully he will get a Staff.

Double A - Choong Xiu Ming. Yes its a little name I created to boost his spirits.
Meaning PartAAPS. He was thought to be in the position for Part A PS , but I guess the specs just thought Chin was a better choice. He's my good friend so I hope this doesnt dampen his livelihood or anything. You know I thought posting would be one thing enough to make him emo, but I was wrong. and thats just one special thing about him.
